CARB ring roller bearing is a single row bearing with long and slightly curved symmetrical rollers and a circular raceway profile. CARB ring roller bearings are non positioning bearings that can only withstand radial loads. CARB bearings are commonly used to replace non locating spherical roller bearings in locating/non locating bearings.
Features and advantages
1. Permissible misalignment
Like spherical roller bearings or self-aligning ball bearings, CARB bearings also have self-aligning ability.
2. Permissible radial displacement
Like cylindrical roller or needle roller bearings, CARB bearings can compensate for thermal expansion of the shaft.
3. Multiple size series
CARB bearings have the same external dimensions as corresponding spherical roller bearings, self-aligning ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings, and needle roller bearings.
4. Long service life
The special roller profile can prevent stress peaks at the end of the roller.
5. Low friction
Self guided rollers maintain friction and frictional heat at a low level.
6. Improved wear resistance
All CARB bearings have been upgraded to SKF Explorer bearings.
7. Low noise
For example, CARB bearings can reduce the noise and vibration levels of equipment such as paper machines and fans.
8. Long service life of bearing system
CARB bearings are suitable for self aligning bearing configurations. The CARB bearing is located at the non positioning end and does not cause internal axial force, therefore it has the following advantages:
A smaller load can extend the service life of the bearing.
The operating temperature of bearings is lower, the service life of lubricants is longer, and the maintenance interval is longer.
